At Lenthall Infant & Nursery School, we believe that celebrating positive attendance helps children develop lifelong habits, a sense of responsibility and pride in their achievements.

Attendance is about much more than being in school every day—it is about accessing learning opportunities, building friendships, developing confidence and feeling part of our school community. By recognising good attendance and celebrating improvement, we encourage children to understand the importance of attending school regularly and arriving ready to learn.

We know that every child's attendance journey is different. Whilst we celebrate excellent attendance, we also recognise and value positive improvements, perseverance and effort. Our aim is to motivate, encourage and support every child to achieve their personal best.

Weekly Attendance Celebrations

Each week, we celebrate the classes and children who demonstrate commitment to attendance through:

Awarded to the class with the highest attendance each week.

🐻 Lenny Bear Attendance Award

Our special attendance mascot visits the class with the best attendance, celebrating collective effort and commitment.

👏 Be Proud Assembly Recognition

Attendance successes are highlighted during our weekly assemblies, where children are recognised and praised for their efforts.

Half-Termly Attendance Awards

At the end of each half term, we reward children who have demonstrated excellent attendance.

⭐ Excellent Attendance Award

Awarded to children who achieve 96% attendance or above.

🌟 Outstanding Attendance Award

Awarded to children who achieve 100% attendance.

These awards help children develop positive attendance habits and recognise the importance of being in school every day.

End of Year Attendance Awards

At the end of the academic year, we celebrate sustained attendance through our special annual awards.

🥇 Gold Attendance Award

Awarded to children who maintain 96% attendance or above across the school year.

💎 Platinum Attendance Award

Awarded to children who achieve 100% attendance throughout the entire academic year.

These awards recognise outstanding commitment and dedication to learning.
